1. Don't Strain the Tree
The most important rule? Don't strain the tree. If you can't lift your tree safely, place it on something wheeled so it's easy to move.
And over time you can increase the length of time the plant is inside. Many fruit trees, such as citrus, need to build up their tolerance. Give your fruit tree a few days to a couple of weeks to acclimate to being indoors. Gradually, increase the time a tree is getting in direct sunlight or front of a window or the bathroom. Growing fruit trees outdoors generally need more watering, but when the trees are moved inside, the water schedule increases.
