What we collect

Information you give us. We collect your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, and payment details when you place an order or create an account. We also collect the information you send us by email, live chat, or a contact form, along with any reviews and photographs you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically. We collect your IP address, browser and operating system, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and identifiers stored in cookies.

We do not collect sensitive information about you, such as race, religion, political affiliation, or health information, and we do not ask you for it.

Cookies, tracking, and other services

We use the services listed below. We name each service so you can look it up.

Always active

These services support the operation of the store and the activities described below.

  • Shopify: Runs the store, cart, and checkout
  • Route: Offers shipping protection at checkout and tracks your order if you buy that protection. Its widget loads on every page
  • Blocky: Screens orders for fraud
  • Loox: Collects and displays product reviews
  • Tabs by Station: Organizes the tabbed sections on product pages
  • SellUp: Shows product suggestions in the cart
  • Instafeed: Displays our Instagram photos
  • ShipStation: Prepares and ships your order
  • Rewind: Keeps a backup copy of the store so we can restore it if something goes wrong
  • Simprosys: Sends our product listings to Google Shopping
  • Microsoft Advertising: Measures our advertising on Bing. It currently loads for everyone. We are working to make it subject to the cookie controls described below

Active only with your consent where consent is required

  • Google Analytics: Tells us which pages people visit and how they found us
  • Google Ads and Google Merchant Center: Measures our advertising and shows our products
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): Measures and targets our advertising
  • Pinterest: Measures and targets our advertising
  • Klaviyo: Recognizes you on the site so the marketing you signed up for reflects what you looked at
  • TikTok: Measures our advertising. It is registered but is not currently sending data

We do not record your session.

How to manage your preferences

Some US states have privacy laws that require us to ask for your consent before using the services marked below as needing it. If you are in one of those states, you will see a cookie banner when you first visit, with Accept, Decline, and Manage preferences options. If you select Decline, those services will not run. Microsoft Advertising, which is always active, currently loads for everyone, as described above.

If you are somewhere those laws do not apply, those services run by default. You can still stop them using the cookie preferences link in our footer.

You can use the same link if you change your mind. Your choice takes effect from your next page view. A script that has already started cannot be stopped midway through a page view. Withdrawing consent prevents it from loading again.

If you are in a US state with a privacy law, you can also tell us not to sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising. Use the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer. You do not need an account, and we will not ask you why.

Why we collect your information

We collect your information to:

  • Process and deliver your order.
  • Respond when you contact us.
  • Detect fraud.
  • Understand which parts of the site work and which do not.
  • Send you marketing if you have asked for it.

Who we share your information with

We share your information with the services named above for the purposes described. We also share it with payment processors to take payment, carriers to deliver your order, and professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of the advertising services above involve sharing data in ways that US state privacy laws treat as a "sale" or as "sharing" for targeted advertising. The opt-out link in our footer tells those services to stop.

How long we keep your information

  • Order records: For as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Account details: Until you ask us to close your account.
  • Marketing contact details: Until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics and advertising data: For the retention period each service applies, as set out in that service's own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
  • Appeal if we refuse your request.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Security

We hold your information on Shopify's platform, which meets the payment card industry's security standards. We restrict access to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.

Children

The store is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. We will clearly highlight any significant changes.
