PLANTING:

Select an area with full sun.
Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and level it with the ground.
Place the tree in the hole, ensuring the root ball is level with the soil.
Fill the hole with soil and gently press down.
Water thoroughly to settle soil around roots.

SOIL:

Prefers well-draining soil.
Suitable for clay, alkaline, and compacted soils, avoid wet and soggy.

MULCH:

Apply 2-3 inches of organic mulch around the entire planting area.
Helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

LIGHT:

Thrives in full sun.

WATER:

Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep and strong root system.
Once established, water only during extended periods of drought.

FERTILIZE:

Fertilize during early spring with a slow-release, well-balanced fertilizer.

PRUNING:

Pruning is not necessary.

Quick ship, good quality stock. Satisfied and would do business with Eureka farms again. Had some issues with shipping / box damage where a tree was snapped off at 16 in but was quickly replaced... Had another shipment that sat for several days in Florida heat while Fed Ex figured out a label 'problem' and one of those two evergreens turned brown. Again quick replacement and ended up with good quality trees. Net: Shipping is kind of a pain due to the delay and how rough UPS and FedEx are with boxes, but if you're looking for some plant varieties that aren't available near you, Eureka farms stands behind their products and is a good reputable company.

My wife and I were planning a landscaping project for our back yard. We wanted to plant a screen of Brodie Junipers (Eastern Red Cedars). Locally we had few options so we considered ordering from an online nursery. We found Eureka which had positive reviews and competitive prices. Nevertheless, this was the first time I've ever ordered a plant, bush or tree from a nursery online, so we were certainly skeptical. Furthermore, we were ordering 10 (ended up being 12) trees, so for us this was a fairly large investment. I spoke to Pierre and corresponded by email with others and all were incredibly helpful. Delivery was impossibly fast. The trees were impeccably packed and arrived in beautiful condition. Ordered eight Brodie Eastern Red Cedar Evergreen Trees. In spite of a delivery delay (five days in transit) due to a windstorm at the destination. They arrived in excellent shape thanks to the more than adequate packing. Five-gallon pot medium was still moist, and trees were fresh and healthy. Planted all eight trees four days later. I ordered 4 to 5 feet height and all three were exactly 4 feet, but had obviously just been potted up to the 5 gallon pot because when I removed them from the pot there was a much smaller root ball inside and the new potting material just fell away.
